The INA240-Q1 device is an automotive-qualified voltage-output, current-sense amplifier with enhanced PWM rejection that senses the voltage drop across the shunt resistor over a wide common-mode voltage range of –4V to 80V, independent of the supply voltage. . The negative common-mode voltage allows the device to operate below ground, accommodating the flyback cycles of typical solenoid applications. Enhanced PWM rejection provides a high level of rejection of large common-mode transients (ΔV/Δt) in systems that use pulse-width modulated (PWM) signals, such as motor drives and solenoid control systems. With this feature, current can be accurately measured without causing large transients in the output voltage and the corresponding recovery ripple.
